Ifrit are also generally horned beings, though the size and shape of their horns varies from individual to individual, with related individuals tending to appear similar, hinting that the differences may be a matter of genetics. Standing at an average of six to nine feet tall, the skin of the Ifrit is often the color and texture of volcanic rock, occasionally decorated by streaks of red and orange, giving the appearance of magma peeking through the cracks. Without their glamour, however, the Ifrit are hardly the type of creatures that humanity would willingly accept. Like most fae, efreet possess the ability of glamour – the ability to change their physical being to all five senses – which allow them to pass unseen among humans. The Efreet are a race of fae that originated, like most fae do, in the “old world.” Being fae strongly associated with fire, the efreet originally choose warm, dry places to settle outside of Underhill, meaning that many of the specie chose to make their home in the warmer climates of southern Europe and the Middle East.
